The answer is quite probably, unless you are willing to change your reading habits. The thing with ebooks is that publishers are using it as an opportunity to discard the notion of remainders and the second-hand market. Of course, I doubt that you will ever see an online retailer or publisher offering books at prices even comparable to those markets. The upside is that there are a lot of free and inexpensive books out there, if you're willing to read older books that have fallen into the public domain (many of which are excellent!), explore relatively unknown authors, or limit yourself to authors who have gone independent.
