Well Dishwashing is not overall IMO a more efficient method of washing clothes, but it is actually in some ways more effective. Strange though it may seem the clothes in question appeared cleaner, colors brighter.

And my neighbours would not ordinarily think about my laundry. But people being people, if it was brought to their attention, they might find themselves ranging up and taking sides. Is this sanitary, they may ask. Will my enjoyment of living here be seriously undermined if I am in a building where people wash clothes in a dishwasher? How come she has a dishwasher and I don't?

Mildly surprised by your reply however, as I thought you were totally opposed to the idea of common sense Live and learn.
