There's a lot of eBay misinformation in this thread.

- more than 10 is something eBay puts in automatically when a seller has a multiple quantity of something. They could have 11 or 1010. It'll show 'more than 10'. That's eBay's doing. If you want to see the exact quanity put the item on your watch list then go into My eBay and you'll see the exact number there. It's a glitch but it works to your advantage if you really want to know how many they say they have.

- You don't just get your money back when you file a claim with eBay or PayPal. There's much more to it than that. It's not an automatic thing unless eBay notices an account takeover situation but you still have to file a claim.

- eBay does get you the shipping costs you paid to have the item sent to you. They always have. Regardless of whatever crap a seller spewed in a listing, you get the full amount you paid back. What you don't get is any shipping costs you had to pay if you have to send an item back to the seller. That's on your dime.

- It sounds like it was an account takeover based on what someone said. Only one type of item sold and style of listing then suddenly electronics, different style of listing & payments to China. Sounds like the typical account takeover stuff that's sadly been happening for years.

- Paying through PayPal is the safest way to protect your credit card information. The seller however still has your name, address, email address and can send you SPAM emails to try to trick you into account takeovers.

Folks, if it seems too good to be true, it is. Don't even waste a second of your time thinking it *might* be real. It's not. Don't click on the Buy Now button. Report the listing and walk away. Some of the folks that perpetrate account takeovers even put malicious code in a listing. Don't mess with it. It's not worth the hassle or aggravation. Report it and move on.
