For sure. The first use of my Fire was to evaluate Prime as an alternative to Netflix. The books from my K79 came over, so I did some reading. I had to test Calibre, so there was more to read. I grabbed the free app each morning so I 'tested' some games.
Now, I have my email configured and am starting to move my banking over. I use the WSJ app, USA Today, Pulse, and a few other news feeds daily. I use TuneIT when I work from home and FREEdi, Blue Squid, and Netflix for video. I use the web browser more now that I have bookmarked a bunch of kindle-friendly sites. I still read books, but hardly ever play games.
Yesterday I had my car serviced. They had a hotspot, so I did a little shopping, read part of a book, and caucht up on E!
