The Asus Transformer Prime is a very nice tablet, no doubt about that—with a quad-core processor and a slick keyboard dock!

Last I looked, the 32GB Transformer Prime is selling for around $500. I lucked out and paid only $230 for my new 32GB Acer A500 in December. (I had purchased the 8GB Acer A500 at Best Buy but they ran out of stock and couldn't deliver, so they substituted the 32GB model for the same price!) I've seen great deals on refurbished A500s too. I bought a bluetooth keyboard designed for Android, so it can do everything that the Prime with docking keyboard can do.

It comes down to price for me, but for someone else that may not matter so much. I'm extremely happy with my Acer Iconia A500 (and my A100 too). If I wanted to pay $400-$500 for a tablet, I would give the Transformer Prime serious consideration, though.
