It is nice to have good customer service if you do have issues. Like all products, there is going to be some percentage of devices that do have issues. It is nice to know that those issues will be resolved as quickly and as professionally as possible.

Amazon has been known to replace Kindles that break outside of the warranty for nothing or a nominal charge. Also, Amazon has been able to send people replacements while on vacation because of their international reach.
