Yes I have read several of these John Norman Gor books over the years.Frankly these remind me a lot of those old Roman/Greek movies that came out in the 50's and 60's,those that featured muscular male warriors and scantily clad women.
Also a few folks get John Norman confused with Jack Norman,similar names and yes, Jack Norman added to this name confusion by writing several books as part of his Gorean Club series.
