I have a very critical question:
Is it somehow possible to have a firmware and do some hacking and customizations and then when a newer firmware is up for grabs, apply it too? I know for upgrading to a new firmware, one should reset to factory setting but is there a work around? This seems to be critical for everyone obviously, at least I don't want to redo all my hacks again and again for each upgrade!!!
If it's not possible, I want to have a firm, let's say "good" firmware, on top of which I do the hacks and let the kindle untouched for years and just read. But with the landscape fault found in firmware 5.0.3, my current Touch seems not to be the good foundation to make my changes... I'm curious what you guys do, as I'm sure this is a very obvious question you decide upon.
