Here is Amazon's info on their
Personal Documents Service. I'm in Canada, so you don't have to be in the US for the @free.kindle.com wifi delivery, I presume it works the same in the UK as it does here. I see you plan to get an Android tablet, at the moment this only works with Kindles (3, 4, and Touch) and the Kindle for iPad, iPhone, and iPad apps, eventually I'd imagine they'll roll it out to the other 'Kindle for....' apps.
