So I'm just about to finish the Foreigner Series by C. J. Cherryh and I'm looking for a new series to read. I really like the one man alone in an alien society and first(early) contact type novels. I like the way the main character reacts and thinks about the new society realizing that his customs and norms don't necessarily apply and the natives reactions to his otherwise normal behavior.

Other examples of books I've read that kinda fit the above theme: Human Memoirs by Greg Howell, Decision at Doona by Anne McCaffrey, Icerigger by Alan Dean Foster and Firekeeper by Jane Lindskold.
