Charging my Kindle

Hi

I have one question. I bought my Kindle 3 Keyboard last summer from Dubai and in the box was only an american charger. As I live in Romania, I bought an European adapter for the american charger but I'm not sure it's compatible because I don't want to destroy the battery.

On the original Kindle american charger says: Input: 100-240V ~0.15A 50/60Hz / Output: 5.0V 0.85A
On the European adapter: 10A 250V / MAX 2200W

Is it safe to use it?

Thank you.
