I really wonder how many of the DRM advocates buy their paper books, read them, and throw them in a paper shredder once they're sure they'll never re-read that book.

In the real world, most people simply keep their books after reading them and then later, give away or throw away their books after they get tired of carting them around. This is one reason why the general public simply doesn't care about not having a "right" to resell ebooks.
The general public doesn't have a right to resell their mobile games or apps, either- which hasn't prevented them downloading them at a rate of two billion per month.
