The comments on the article are mostly positive. More and more people are using services like Pandora w/ mobile data in their car and on transit; streaming isn't going to be an obstacle for them. Streaming has its pros, too. Audiobook files are ginormous, and in the six years I've been using them, I've only re-listened to one (World War Z, several times).
I do think they're looking at a minority of audiobook users who go through enough books in a month to justify the cost vs. purchasing downloads. Most books on Audible are $10-25, right?
