I will add 2nd recomendations for I am Legend by Richard Matheson and Already Dead by Charlie Huston. Oh, and Hogun/Del Torros The Strain Trilogy was good too.
Christopher Moores Vampire Trilogy (Bloodsucking Fiends, You Suck, & Bite Me) were fun.
If you liked Mr Kings Vampires (as I did), you may not enjoy Anne Rices versions as much (I've read the 1st 2, and dont plan on bothering with any more)
