Let's face it. In general, people like to be happy, comfortable,
unworried. Sometimes this leads to laziness, carelessness and
to emotional states that we will call "distracted" in order to be nice.

There are virtues in being paranoid, in being suspicious, in anxiety.
You don't lose a lot of stuff.

The real trick is striking a balance, where you can be comfortable,
and have security as well.

I find that redundancy is the key.
Not just 1 external drive, but two or more.
Not just a house firebox safe, but a safety deposit box also.
Not some questionable cheap or even "free" online storage
facility, but one that is run by a business, and backs up
its depots with parallel depots.
