I't been a busy month, and I'm late, but I just finished this month's Club selection,
Black Rain by Japanese author Masuji Ibuse (translated by John Bester). A chilling novel about the aftermath of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. A must read, in my opinion.
I also finished a podcast of Doug Allyn reading his short story
"Stone Cold Christmas" from the January 2007 issue of
Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine. One of the most wonderful stories I've heard in a long time, and possibly the only podcast I've ever enjoyed so much that felt the need to listen again immediately.
