This is pretty normal behaviour and no reason to be worried (mine does that, too, and the battery drowning is at an ok level)

Are you using an SD card? (uses some extra battery, but not that much)

Check, if your the file system is ok, your win computer should tell you, that something is wrong,when plugging in. It normally offers to fix it.

You also could try a factory reset.

In both cases, backup your books first! Be aware, that you might loose your settings, browser favorites, ADE registration, etc.
