I'd recommend getting the Kindle Touch rather than the non-Touch. For $20 more you're getting double the battery life, almost 3x the available user storage, text-to-speech, X-Ray, and a few other things. The Touch is a much more capable device. Interesting, thanks for the tip.

For me though, I don't care much about those features, and more to the point I'd have to reevaluate everything -- I've spent too much time already trying to find one that works at all for me! (Also, they don't sell the kindle touch over here in the UK, so it's less convenient to get one from the US than to do what I'm about to do and drive down the road to my local supermarket )
