I would hesitate to recommend the Vox to "most" people.
Your glowing assessment is based mainly on what it Could do, rather than what it Does do. Most people want devices that work intuitively out of the box and will pay a premium for the convenience. That's why Apple is one of the biggest and most profitable companies in the world. (RIP Steve)

I'm a big fan of the Vox too, but that's because I'm having fun playing with it. However, I recognize that I, and most of the others on this forum are not "typical".

You can make a lot of things with a Lego set too - but that is only of interest to people with the time and inclination to Want to make things!

As someone said in another post, for these devices to really be successful on the mass market they need to be idiot-proof, like Toasters.
