While I agree with you, sometimes you don't know ahead of time what drives you crazy until you've had the device for a while. Having the option to configure is nice. For example, I didn't know that you couldn't set justification on the T1 until after I'd bought it. The photo on the box showed a justified page. Only thanks to workarounds like DRM removal, calibre and Morkl's version of Reader is it possible for me to have a choice. Choice is good.
