PRS+ for the 350-650-950 allows selecting tap vs. swipe. I was extremely enthusiastic... then I tried it and realized that swiping works better (for me at least). Tap would create all sorts of problems when trying to get the dictionary to work or when clicking on note superscripts... Also, swipe allows to move forward/backward without having to move your finger from a specific screen area (whereas the tap is specific to a certain section of the screen).

Said so, having option is always good. I can't believe SONY does not provide that as an option - and, even more, I am surprised by the opposition to a very reasonable suggestion.

The way I see it - OP is asking for the OPTION to tap. What's wrong with that? having options makes everyone happy... I wouldn't use it myself, but why the hostility?
