Today is the fifth day in a row that I have awakened to temperatures below -20 F. In fact at -28 F today was the coldest yet. It was clear and sunny when I left the house and on such days steam from the local papermill settles on surrounding trees producing very pretty 'crystal trees.' Unfortunately my photo does not do justice to what these look like in fact.



It looks like we are about to get a break from the cold though. It is supposed to get no lower than 0 F tonight and then up to 29 F tomorrow. "We're having a heat wave, . . ."
