I've asked for the old firmware from Bookeen because of the shorter battery life and they replied within half an hour giving me the link to the firmware and this:

So it looks like they are trying to get more informations on the issue. Sending an e-mail to
support@bookeen.com with more details could be helpful (of course I already replied).
