There is certainly some great talent available now if anyone is looking at the moment. I guess a lot of times layoffs are not about the individual, but it's about the position/role. In the case of PalmSource, it seems there was a focus on mid to upper management. That means that the reality is that you're going to have to affect some high profile people whether you want to or not.

Personally, I was really sad to hear Mike Mace was among those leaving, but I bet whatever he ends up doing next will be pretty neat also. He was such a great ambassador for PalmSource, and so nice to all of us in the web community. He'll be greatly missed, and we certainly wish him the very best in his next endeavor.
