Acrobat Reader is for PDF files. Not sure why you're trying to use it to read Mobi files.
You don't need to open the Mobi book on your PC. Just save it from your web browser, then connect your Kindle to the PC using the USB cable, and use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the file into the "documents" folder on the Kindle.
If you want to read Mobi books on your PC, you can download "Kindle for PC" from Amazon, but you don't need to have a Mobi reader on your PC in order to copy books to your Kindle.
