I'm about half way through Blood Rites and so far, the answer to your question is 'yes'.
I can't believe where this series has gone. I'm amazed. I won't elaborate, I don't know how to do spoiler tags. This is fast becoming my favorite of the series so far, but I think I've said that about the others too
