Well, you see, temperature is not a prime determinant of overall weather here. In the last week (cleared up as of yesterday) we've had mostly constant rain, and on Monday morning we had 82mm (over 3 inches) of rain in about two hours, and two thirds of that came in one hour. It pissed down.

This had us go from a broad-ish beach like this:






to, at high tide, this:







So, it looks like they'll be pumping sand again. They'd only just got all the rocks covered and a nice, broad, gently-sloping beach back about two weeks ago.
