It might have been simply for scratch resistance and uv protection that a glass pane got added. Let's hope that with Triton material, whether it has the color filter on top or just plain b/w, we might get flexible screens. The device they come in does not necessary be flexible. Now if somebody comes out with a new device it more than likely has to have touch screen as well. But then again, there might be a good reason (e.g. stylus too hard for the screen) that the Jetbook Color does not have a touchscreen ...
