I was shocked by how blueish-green the screen looked after I put my Kindle in it. I've pretty much gotten used to it now, but it makes a huge difference in my perception of the screen background color.
That would be expected The blue-green you are seeing is the exact opposite of the type of pink of your case. Try a bright green case, and your screen will look pink
