Agree with above. The Smashwords Style Guide is indispensable for anyone wishing to post an e-book. That said, I just posted a story to Amazon and had trouble with the Word file so I downloaded the HTML. I was a web designer fro several years so I understand more than the basics. Got to say it was wonderful to directly tweak the document at that level.

Smashwords does not accept html, which I kind of understand and kind of don't. Seems to me if I have an html file that was good enough for Amazon, then it ought to be good enough for Smashwords. I'm sure it isn't that simple, but it would be nice to think that Smashwords is heading its meat grinder in that direction.
