I made one from a Sony Reader leather case, clearanced at Office Depot for five bucks.

I cut off the tabs at the top and bottom of the band that holds the Sony Reader, to fit the Kindle Keyboard.

I used double sided removable mounting tabs to hold it (4 bucks at OD)

Benefits:

While it sticks out from the top and bottom a quarter inch, it fits depth and width perfectly. Looks custom. Covers the screen and keyboard, the most important things. It is about as lightweight as you can get. Folds back all the way, you can clip a light to the folded back cover. Sony owners here will attest to the quality of these covers.

I've been using it this way for a couple of months, fits in my bag perfectly. I checked it against the official lighted case at a store (Rat Shack) and this setup is way better for my needs and saved me 41 dollars--9 bucks and I have some leftover mounting tabs.

Sometimes you have to just go MacGyver on this stuff. Look around and you may have an old day planner or something sitting around that will do the trick.
