These two Kindles where both in demo mode in the same store where the temperature was not too hot or cold. I did use both and went to menus and flipped multiple pages, change font settings and made sure the screens were both updated. These two demo units did meet the requirements stated above. One screen was just unacceptable while the other was acceptable.
