So I tried to delete today the books.db from the T1 and the T1 happily created a new one.
I uninstalled the Mac Reader App and reinstalled it, but basically it brought back everything. It must save somewhere all the book metadata etc. I tried for a long time to find out where this is saved, but without luck.
Then I tried to sync the T1 content. I had one book on there without highlights. On the Mac was the same books with highlights. I went back to the T1 if the highlights were there. And indeed they were: again duplicated (2 times the same highlight this time).
If I cannot locate the book metadata on my Mac I think there is no way to solve the problem.
I find myself spending hours solving a problem which were caused by the Reader app ... instead of actually reading my books. All I want is to read my books on the T1 when I am out, come home, sync everything with my Mac app so that I can see the highlights on my Mac. Then I can study again / repeat reading the important bits of my books/reference on my Mac.
