I believe zooming when clicking an image is the intentended behavior for images in Mobi.
Mobi does not support many features available in ePub, your other issues sound like this is what you're running into.
Also, Sigil is an ePub tool. You would be better off asking in either the calibre or Mobi forums about these issues as there are people more knowledgeable about the format there. As DaleDe said, if the ePub is working then Sigil did what it's supposed to do.
