1. Do Overdrive and Calibre work for you? Yes, but I remove the DRM before importing to Calibre if I'm not using ADE directly.

2. What brand of device do you have? Nook Classic

4. Does ADE recognize that you have a connected device (mine doesn't -- is it supposed to? It should - you can use ADE to transfer DRMed books from your PC to your reader.
