Fixed your post.
Authorization happens at the software level. Calibre does not have the capability to open e-books with Adobe DRM. Neither does Microsoft Word. Neither does Kindle for PC.

Adobe Digital Editions does.

You need to either use software that supports the DRM scheme you are dealing with, or remorve the DRM, so you can use software that doesn't support it.
