To a great extent, my issue is more finding something that does what I need it to. Skipping past the various pc based or palm based readers, the first purpose built e-reader that I got was the Sony PRS-500. That worked well enough, but it simply didn't handle a lot of books well. I tried the Kindle, more for access to the amazon e-books than anything else. I found that difficult to use, so I gave it to my mother. When the Sony PRS-505 came out, I upgraded to it. It processed books significantly faster than the PRS-500. I still have and use my 505. I tried the nook, but didn't see any advantage, so I gave that to my sister. When the iPad came out, I got that and that became my primary ebook reader. I like the size and once iBook came out with categories, I was at least able to semi-organize my books. I didn't get the iPad 2 when it came out, but will likely get the iPad 3 for the speed increase.
