No -. My strategy is: first, have a mix of reading options, to suit my mood. Then, i keep the related books on the kindle in case I need to refer back to an earlier one. So if I'm reading Dorothy Sayers, I want all the books in the series on ( or all of author in non- fiction), etc. It adds up to about 60 on the reader at once.
I haven't addded more, because I more would overtax the reader, and make it slower - but based on these posts - maybe large libraries are fine.
My calibre library is backed up by apple's 'time machine' program. But to be extra safe - i also have a second little harddrive for books, music, and pictures.
But all the "i got stranded away from my home" posts make me worry that i should carry a third backup of books with me: are thumb drives, memory cards and DVDs all equally reliable?
