Shopping in bookstores that only stock current NYT bestsellers (and spotty backlist in the rest of the shelves)?
Also, a lot of his backlist is a bit dated (although quite readable), which means that most retail bookstores won't stock it (even if they were in print, which often isn't the case).
Which means younger readers don't discover these great writers, since nothing new is coming out (death has that effect, at least with
most authors).
