I've tried this with my iLiad, predominantly with my own music I compose using Sibelius and then print to PDF. I used to use LaTeX (MusixTeX) but as much as a LaTeX fan as I am, I'll have to admit a WYSIWYG music editor is much nicer for me.

The big problem is the page turning speed; when playing the piano you'll usually have a very small "window of opportunity" to turn pages, but perhaps the foot pedal trick would alleviate this somewhat. I know there are USB foot pedals (rather expensive) but maybe it's an interesting DIY project to hack one out of a mouse or something.
