I don't know why I started emailing instead of side-loading. But I just used shift to highlight a number of books (31 on the first night), and then used Calibre to email them to my kindle and my fire. It takes about 5 minutes a book (I use my gmail address as the sender), but then they are backed up on the Amazon servers under personal documents.
Just downloaded Adobe Digital Ed. and Calibre. Where do I find alf's tools?
