It doesn't even count a lot of straight CyanogenMod installs, if the users didn't opt-in to have their stats collected. On top of that are all the custom ROMs that are 99.972% CyanogenMod, but the ROM-maker yanked CMStats, changed the wallpaper, and slapped on the clock from MIUI.

I would be surprised if the official count covers even half of the devices running CyanogenMod variants.
