Reading on smartphones with 3.5" or bigger screens and dedicated reading apps is actually a major improvement for me. Before the proliferation of smartphones and affordable e-ink readers, I used to read books and fanfics on my feature phone. I'd email myself a TXT or HTML version of my books and read them on my phone's 1.5" screen from Yahoo's WAP site. After that, it was PDF on the PSP. When there's a will, there's a way.
