The credit card company, yes, and the bank as well. But the retailer that charged the card doesn't, and that's who I'm talking about. And who Shopaholic was talking about as well, by the way.

Honestly. What on earth made you think I was talking about a credit card company, and not an online vendor like SassyMinerals or Buy.com?
