I have a 1005x 1.7.0 rooted Nook classic and I want to fully reset it back to a fully non-rooted status. When I follow the reset procedure (power button, 12 second etc.) It will get to the point where it says it's restoring with a blue bar in the lcd window then it will just reset back to the way it was, still rooted. I have also tried copying the firmware .dat files to the root and resetting. I get an invalid firmware message.
I did replace the home.apk file in /system/apps when installing mynook.ru launcher. Could that be the problem? I don't have the original file. Anyone know where to get a copy of it?
I'm at a loss. Anyone?
