As for intelligence.......I must retract my previous statement.
When we lived in northwest Arkansas, they managed to get to just about every birdseed feeder we could find.......even the super expensive, 'squirrel proof' ones.
Until we strung a wire between to trees, and hung one right in the middle.......then it was funny to watch them walk the line, but fall off the domed lid........
