The Python scripts do not work if the filename has german Umlaute (äöü) in the title. Is there a solution for that?

Another thing: When I convert a rtf file to epub, the footnotes do are not clickable on a Sony PRS-T1. When I convert the same file via an online service like 2epub.com it works. Is there a setting that I can use to achieve clickable footnotes?
