I was just kind of hoping that since someone else mentioned the Vintage reprint line the last time there was a big HQN coupon, whoever it was might be able to say "read this one first, it's great/avoid that one, total waste of time and money" if they'd gotten that far in their TBR list.

ETA: Wow, I think I know which one I can skip. Apparently the "Dale Bogard" is written with the "author" as the sleuth and has a host of UK person trying to write US hard-boiled noir thriller with no sense of proper placing or phrasing for the setting errors, according to the single Amazon review.

Though I may just get it for the lulz.
