@allowingtoo: Oh ok. Provided you still don't see anything on the Kindle itself (and something stupid like a crappy home screen sorting method is out of the question), but the book file is still visible when connected to a computer, what happens after a restart (Settings > Restart)?

Does the book pop up on the Kindle? Does it disappear from the documents folder when connected to a computer?
