I tried it and it didn't quite work. The space between the closed spine and the reader was tight enough that you might be able to clip the stylus on the outside, but not inside. And even if you clipped the stylus outside, it kind of got in the way when you fold the cover over to the back for one-handed reading.

Maybe the lighted cover has more space there, but with the non-lighted standard cover, once was enough to deter me from that.
